Greater Des Moines is a great place to live, work, and play. While everyone here knows that we’re the greatest city in the world, the media is finally starting to give us the recognition we deserve. The Greater Des Moines Partnership has compiled an amazing summary of the top ten rankings we’ve landed on in the past two years. E300 residents will be particularly excited to see that we’re the #1 city for young professionals, in the top ten of “best cities for the next decade”, #1 city for most livable real estate market, and #1 richest metro in the nation. It’s great to see the accolades continue to pile up.

e300 Summer BBQ

July has been hot and humid with heat indexes of 110 degrees. So we thought instead of complaining about the heat, we’d celebrate summer and have a Resident Appreciaiton BBQ. We were very happy with the number of residents that stopped by during the event. Our favorite maintenance guy, Tom was the grill master and served up hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, grilled pineapple, grilled corn, watermelon, potato salad, and chips. It was a gerat time to update the residents on the progress of Zombie Burger. They have invited us to a special night for the Tenants to stop by and check it out the week of August 22nd and then Friday August 26th there will be a “Zombie Walk” from East Locust & E 4th to East Grand & E 4th…where there will be a street party with food and drinks. e300 has an incredible location to enjoy all that summer has to offer. From the moment you step out the front door, you are just steps away from some of the best shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Beginning in May, just a couple blocks away, Nitefall On The River provides outside concerts at the Simon Estes Riverfront Amphitheater. They have a great summer line-up including Gin Blossoms, Matt Nathanson, Big Head Todd, Natasha Bedingfield and Yonder Mountain. On June 2nd the residents at e300 had front row seats and incredible roof top views of the 32nd Annual Dam to Dam Run, which boasts to be the largest 20 kilometer race in the nation.With the free trolley stop just outside our front door, it’s a quick and easy way to get to the heart of downtown for the Art Festival June 24-26th and the Downtown Farmers Market every Saturday through the end of October. e300′s location will also be enjoyed for all of the Iowa State Fair goers, as the State capital provides the convenience of park and ride to the fairgrounds. Perhaps one of the most awaited summer events for East Village is the Grand opening of Zombie Burger,located on the 1st level of the e300 building. Zombie Burger is still on course to open the doors to the public on August 30th, however e300 Residents will have their own special night before opening day.

On Thursday May 19th, e3oo hosted a wine & cheese night for our tenants. It was a great time for tenants to get to know each other and sign up for the eClub, a great new program management has launched for green communication. Zombie Burger to Open at e300

George Formaro and the staff at Orchestrate Management have announced their plans to open a new restaurant called “Zombie Burger” at e300. The unique, new concept will feature Formaro’s legendary culinary prowess in the form of freshly grilled burgers, hand-cut fries and gourmet milkshakes. In addition to lunch and dinner hours, the restaurant will also be open until 3am on the weekends for late night enjoyment.
